STORYTELLING:

THE ARTIST WHO PAINTED A BLUE HORSE

“The artist who painted a blue horse” by Eric Carle.

I have chosen this book because I think that it is a very interesting story about the artist ‘life. This book is appropriate for children between 3 and 5 years old.

The vocabulary and grammar are suitable for young children because sentences are very short and simple. The structure of this book is favourable for children because it is repetitive, this is a good resource.

The illustrations are good and aproppiate for infant education, the pictures are a series of animals in bold colours.

This book is very useful for teaching children colours and animals. This book encourages their imagination.

This story gives all children confidence in their own creativity.

ACTIVITIES ABOUT THE ARTIST WHO PAINTED A BLUE HORSE

While I am reading the story I can ask them questions to guess what is going to happen, for making predictions.

Also with this book I will do some activities with the children. For example, we will sing this song about the colours.

We will draw some pictures about the book and we will make some animals puppets.
